NASA Space Apps Collective
Empowering knowledge sharing among the global space community
NASA Space Apps Collective was a year-long global innovation program designed to strengthen connections across NASA Space Apps’ community of space leaders. Through a series of workshops, educational modules, and the Collective Genius Summit, the program fostered leadership development and knowledge sharing among participants from more than 30 countries. It served as a platform for collaboration and exchange, bringing together space leaders from diverse disciplines to drive local and global impact. Launched as a pilot in 2023 with the theme “Building an Inclusive Global Space Community,” the program evolved in 2024 to focus on “Empowering Change Through Science and Community Action.”
In my role as Design Lead, I directed the design and implementation of the program concept, curriculum, and summit. For the curriculum, I designed and facilitated workshops, as well as interactive group activities to enhance collaboration among cohort members. For the Collective Genius Summit, I coordinated the development and delivery of 19 interactive sessions across multiple formats, including networking events, keynotes, lightning talks, panels, and workshops. Within the team, I also cultivated a culture of collaboration and built internal facilitation and design capacity by assigning shared leadership roles and guiding a co-design process that strengthened trust, confidence, and collective capability.
